Tip number two is to choose something that will help the child build abilities or skills that aid them, when they grow up, in their academics. Remember that a child will be at his or her best when he or she is open to letters, numbers and sounds at a young age.

And if you return the book on time, no fee! So you won't feel the pressure of waiting until the free late charge day- or whatever your local library calls their annual consequence- free day. Most of us are patient with the slower-than-average reader. Thus, if you must renew, no one's going to grumble- as long as it is done promptly. The same goes for movies.

In my travel briefcase, I keep a plastic storage bag containing 3-4 flipchart markers, cough drops, tissue and masking tape (to mark off back rows of training rooms). I also keep an extra battery for my presentation remote. These items are always where I need them when I need them.

Then, in a act of betrayal, Alex is set up by his own friends.
